Yoga – Awaken Your Vitality

Based on the Baptiste Methodology*, yoga instructor, Karen Detmers, will lead you through an hour-long powerful Vinyasa yoga practice designed to awaken your vitality. This flowing and energetic class will focus on breath, gaze and alignment and is adaptable for everybody and every body of all fitness levels. Set yourself free. Empower yourself. Be open to possibility, on and off the mat.
What to bring:
Only a limited number of mats, straps & blocks will be available, so please bring your own if you have them.
*Note: Unlike traditional Baptiste classes, this class is NOT heated.
More About the Instructor:
Karen has been practicing yoga on a regular basis for 13 years. Her yoga journey began when she was seeking occasional time for herself away from a hectic and busy life, which included 3 small children and a part-time job. Over the years she has seen and felt greater physical strength, deeper self-awareness and stronger relationships with her family and friends – all which she attributes to her yoga practice.
She has studied with many well-known instructors including Baron Baptiste, Shiva Rea, Seane Corn and Bryan Kest, to name a few. Regardless of the teacher and the style, each and every class she has participated in has reaffirmed her commitment to the practice of yoga for its many benefits.
To further her studentship and the desire to share her yogic experience with others, Karen earned her 200-hour Teacher Training Certification from Shiva Shakti Power Yoga in 2015 and recently received her 300-hour Certified Baptiste Yoga Leader Credential through the Baptiste Institute.
